Cooking Directions
Cook 300g of vegetables of your choice and keep aside. Cook 3 tbsp(45g) of Red gram dal in 600ml of water with 0.5 tbsp cooking oil and pinch of turmeric. Grind 1 tbsp(15g) of sambar powder with granted coconut and a little jaggery(if desired). Mix this with cooked dal. Add cooked vegetables, tamarind extract and salt to taste boil for 5 minute. Prepare the seasoning of 0.5 tbsp mustard and curry leaves in 0.5 tbsp of cooking oil. Add to the sambar.
